Fundraising!

In order to make this trip a reality, we had to hold a number of fundraising events.  We wanted to thank all the families, staff and students that supported our efforts this year!

One of our most successful fundraising events was our bake sale.  Our students really came through for us with hundreds of yummy treats for us to sell.  Special thank you to the Ruscetta Family and the dozens and dozens of delicious gourmet cupcakes they baked for us.  They were almost too beautiful to eat...almost!

We then took over the Library with our Terra Greenhouses Poinsettia fundraiser over Christmas!  

We also raised funds through our magazine fundraiser too!  We have a fantastic group of students that worked tirelessly fundraising for this trip and recruiting students to attend as well.  Reaching our "magic number" was a challenge, but we did it! 

We wanted to thank everyone for their support as we anxiously anticipate our adventure to begin!

99 Days Until Departure!

This blog is going to follow St. Joseph S.S. on their Spring trip to Los Angeles, California and the Grand Canyon!  We have just reached a special milestone on our trip - 99 days until our departure!  Students are looking forward to landing in Los Angeles and sightseeing.  We will be visiting the Hollywood sign,  Walk of Fame, Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, just to name a few sights!  We will also spend a fun filled day at Universal Studios Hollywood enjoying their famous attractions.  After a couple of fun filled days in Los Angeles we will be traveling to one of the Great Wonders of the World: The Grand Canyon.  At the Grand Canyon we will be enjoying a River Float Ride down the Colorado River and a hike along the Southern Rim of the Canyon. 

Our goal is to blog about our daily activities so our school, family and friends can follow along with our adventures.  We will also post about our preparations leading up to our May trip!
